DKS was set in 2011 to provide VAT consulting and advisory services to businesses and firms of accountants. We are a team of 3 highly experienced VAT advisors who have specialised in this tax for many years and have previously worked with HMRC, the Big 4 and mid-tier accounting firms, and in industry roles.

We formed DKS VAT Services to enable us to use the experiences we have gained over the years to support and assist those requiring VAT advice. We appreciate that VAT can be complex and potentially costly to many businesses and that robust and affordable advice is, therefore, essential. We recognise that not everybody can afford or wants to pay the fees associated with larger firms of accountants and one of the drivers for setting up DKS was to give people more choice about where they can obtain high quality VAT advice.

We work with firms of accountants to provide specialist VAT services to their clients and directly with organisations who require assistance. We cover a wide range of VAT issues from VAT registration to VAT tribunals, international transactions, TOMs, partial exemption and compliance reviews to name but a few and we have clients in many sectors including property, education, charities and travel. We also offer a VAT training service which can be a formal classroom approach or a more relaxed Q&A session.

At DKS we understand the importance of strong client relationships and appreciate the need to be both VAT and business advisors in today's environment. That is why commercial awareness is central to our approach. Our aim is always to understand your business and then apply the VAT regulations.

Based in Guildford, Surrey, our clients are predominantly in the South East but we are not restricted by geographic boundaries.
